The University of Arkansas holds numerous short courses, workshops and an Online Master of Science Degree program in Food Safety. Below is a partial listing of educational opportunities.
This 30 credit hour online interdisciplinary master's program enables experienced food safety professionals to advance their careers by expanding their knowledge base and skill set.
This is a series of 3 40-hour culinary arts classes taught by Dr. John Marcy, UA Extension Food Scientist, and offered in conjunction with the Research Chefs Association to fulfill the 120 hour requirement for Certified Culinary Scientist©. Courses in Culinary Arts Fundamentals, Advanced Culinary Arts and Baking Arts Fundamentals are offered each year.
Better Process Control School
The University of Arkansas will host a 3 day course for participants seeking certification in acidified foods or acidified and low-acid foods. The course will be held October 31- November 2, 2017 at the Arkansas Union on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville, Ark.
